June 2025 Findings
June saw summer fragrance trends fully establish themselves across the UK. Tropical fruits, marine notes and citrus scents recorded their strongest performance of the year, while traditional spring florals continued to decline.
Coconut became the UK's number one home fragrance for the first time, while Pink Sands and Rock Salt & Driftwood completed an unmistakably summer-inspired Top 3.
Mango, Pineapple and Coconut all climbed rapidly as shoppers searched for brighter, fruit-led fragrances throughout June.
Fresh Linen, Fresh Meadows and Clean Cotton stayed firmly inside the Top 10, proving clean fragrances remain popular regardless of season.
Cherry Blossom, Peony, La Vie Est Belle and other heavier perfume-inspired scents slipped further as consumer demand shifted towards lighter coastal and citrus fragrances.
Why Trust The Index?
The UK Scent Index is designed to be a practical monthly snapshot of home fragrance demand, not just a list of bestsellers.
We consider how people are actively searching for scents, fragrance families and home fragrance products in the UK.
We look at emerging AI-led search interest to spot fragrance themes that may be growing before they become obvious elsewhere.
Real customer purchasing behaviour helps balance search interest with what people are actually buying.
Seasonality, fragrance families, wider category trends and product demand are reviewed together rather than in isolation.
Methodology
Each scent is given an index score out of 100. The score combines search demand, AI search interest, Nuscents sales data, monthly movement and wider market signals. The result is a balanced view of what the UK appears to be interested in, not just what sold most in one shop.
