Nuscents-Led Data
Each month, the UK Scent Index highlights the fragrance notes showing the strongest year-on-year growth across Nuscents search, sales and customer interest data. These figures are based on Nuscents-led trend analysis and are designed to show changing consumer behaviour across home fragrance.
Rose-led fragrances saw the strongest year-on-year rise, helped by Valentine’s Day gifting and growing demand for softer, romantic floral home fragrance profiles.
Fresh Linen continued to grow as clean, laundry-style scents dominated the February reset period and early spring-cleaning searches.
Pink Sands rose strongly as shoppers began moving from heavier winter scents towards brighter, fresher and more uplifting tropical fragrance profiles.
February 2026 Findings
February showed the UK home fragrance market moving from winter reset mode into early spring and Valentine’s gifting. Clean laundry scents stayed dominant, but romantic florals, sweet fragrances and brighter tropical profiles gained momentum as consumers looked for fresher, softer and more uplifting home scents.
Fresh Linen, Clean Cotton, Spring Awakening and Fresh Unstoppables continued to lead demand as shoppers focused on fresh, clean-smelling homes and early spring-cleaning routines.
Love Hearts, Rose Wonderland and perfume-inspired fragrances gained visibility as February gifting pushed sweet, romantic and luxurious scent profiles higher in the index.
Snow Angel remained just inside the rankings, but festive fragrances largely disappeared as shoppers moved away from seasonal winter scents and towards cleaner, brighter home fragrance choices.
Pink Sands, Coconut Lime, florals and fruity scents began gaining ground, showing early signs of consumers looking ahead to spring, lighter homes and warmer seasonal fragrance profiles.
Why Trust The Index?
The UK Scent Index is designed to be a practical monthly snapshot of home fragrance demand, not just a list of bestsellers.
We consider how people are actively searching for scents, fragrance families and home fragrance products in the UK.
We look at emerging AI-led search interest to spot fragrance themes that may be growing before they become obvious elsewhere.
Real customer purchasing behaviour helps balance search interest with what people are actually buying.
Seasonality, fragrance families, wider category trends and product demand are reviewed together rather than in isolation.
Methodology
Each scent is given an index score out of 100. The score combines search demand, AI search interest, Nuscents sales data, monthly movement and wider market signals. The result is a balanced view of what the UK appears to be interested in, not just what sold most in one shop.
